HOW TO WIN CAMPAIGNS: Advocacy Training Session 1

As part of its mission TerraFirma will be heavily focusing on providing free training to the Maltese NGOs in 2015. Training will focus on key areas from fund-raising, board management, communications to advocacy, where need for improvements are identified for the NGOs to become more professional and effective in the projects and campaigns they run.

The first Advocacy Trainings will be on Saturday 27th June and Saturday 4th July 2015 and it will be given by professionals with vast experience in campaigning on international level. Trainings will be free of charge for the Members of TerraFirma. Each NGO is encouraged to send their relevant staff and council members as well as volunteers.

The first training will focus on advocacy (campaigning). During the first day of the training on 27 June (Saturday) the session will focus on key areas such as “Playing Field analysis” and “Identifying Strategies and Tactics” with examples of successful and unsuccessful campaigns from Malta and abroad.

The second session (4 July) will have workshops and interactive sessions on planning, lobbying among others. It is important to note that all candidates are required to join both sessions and those who do not attend the first session will not be able to attend the second one.
